Research Overview
Hi! I am currently pursuing my second master's degree in the
School of Biomedical Informatics at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston,
with plans to continue into the PhD program.
Before this, I completed an M.S. in Computer Science & Engineering at
Korea University, advised by
Dr. Jaewoo Kang,
and a B.S. in Biotechnology at Korea University.
I have also conducted research as a visiting scholar at
Boston Children's Hospital and
Harvard Medical School, advised by
Dr. Timothy A. Miller.
My research focuses on natural language processing for biomedical and clinical applications,
with an emphasis on multimodal language models and explainable AI that connect biomedical knowledge
with real-world clinical data to support better clinical decision making and biomedical discovery.
My work has been presented at ACL, EMNLP, and NAACL.
